FYI: Company offers nonmedical home care

10:50 a.m., Aug. 24, 2004--Griswold Special Care, a national company with an office in Delaware, offers assisted living to persons who are elderly, disabled, recovering from injuries, illnesses or childbirth, or anyone else in need of a helping hand.

The services include bathing, feeding, dressing, help with meal preparation, light housekeeping in areas used by the person being cared for, transportation, help with exercise and incontinence care. This fall, they will be offering care for Alzheimer patients.

The care can be given at home or at nearby facilities, and the cost may be partially or fully covered by long-term care insurance.
