UD employee discount for Best of Delaware party

9:34 a.m., July 9, 2004--University of Delaware employees can purchase discount tickets for the 2004 Delaware Today’s Best of Delaware awards party Thursday, July 22, in Wilmington.

More than 2,000 guests are expected at the event, which brings together Best of Delaware award winners to serve samples of their food, drinks, goods and services during a party that includes music, dancing and a silent auction.

UD’s Vita Nova, the student-run restaurant in the Trabant University Center, has won Delaware Today’s 2004 Best of Delaware Award for best lunch buffet. In operation since 1996, the restaurant is a learning laboratory for UD’s hotel, restaurant and institutional management majors who rotate through 17 different jobs there.

Regular ticket prices for the Best of Delaware party cost $60 per person, but UD employees can purchase tickets for $50. Tickets that include a preview party cost $70.

UD employees can order tickets online at [https://www.bestofde.com/tickets/tickets_order_UDemployees.htm].
