Talk on Balkans policy set Sept. 21

3:20 p.m., Sept. 17, 2004--A lecture on U.S. foreign policy in the Balkans is slated for 3:30 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 21, in 102 Gore Hall.

Charles L. English, director of South Central European Affairs in the U.S. Department of State, will discuss American foreign policy in the West Balkans in the wake of the conflicts in the region during the 1990’s. A career member of the senior foreign service, English was director of the Office of European Union and Regional Affairs in the Bureau for European and Eurasian Affairs from 2002-03.

The lecture, free and open to the public, is presented by the University of Delaware, UD’s Department of Political Science and International Relations, the World Trade Center of Delaware and the Delaware Chapter of People to People. For more information, call (302) 831-2355.
