New web site highlights arts at UD

9:54 a.m., Sept. 15, 2004--A new web site enables visitors to browse ongoing and upcoming arts events at UD with a click.

Accessible as a link from UD’s home page and UDaily, The Arts @ Delaware site informs visitors about arts events taking place on UD’s campus and encourages casual browsing of arts-related areas on the campus with its easily navigable format.

Mary Hempel, director of UD’s Office of Public Relations and assistant to the president, said the site is designed to present the thriving arts scene on campus.

“The new site focuses special attention on the richness and range of the arts at UD,” she said.

Besides briefing visitors about exhibits, lectures, concerts, films, performances, poetry readings and other humanities-related events, the site offers links that refer browsers to related areas of interest, such as features on faculty members, information on University collections and facts about UD’s various art programs.

To visit the site, go to [www.udel.edu/PR/UDaily/arts/].
