Events celebrate Womens History Month
4:11 p.m., Feb. 21, 2005--To celebrate Womens History Month, UD departments and organizations are sponsoring a host of events throughout the spring semester that focus on womens issues.
Here is a list of upcoming events by date:
7 p.m., Feb. 22
Film, Standing On My Sisters Shoulders, a documentary examining the Civil Rights movement in the south from the women who lived it, with speaker Jeanne Nutter, associate professor of communications at Bloomfield College, 004 Kirkbride;
8 p.m., Feb. 24
Fifth annual Carter Lecture, An Irrevocable Promise: Re-imaging the Story Chicana, with Cherrie Moraga, author and activist, followed by a reception and book signing in the lobby, 103 Gore Hall;

Performance, Margaret Sanger: Radiant Rebel, a one-woman play with actor and writer Miriam Reed, based on a speech Sanger delivered the evening before her first court trial for promoting birth control, Bacchus Theatre, Perkins Student Center;
