MBA students to staff phones for WHYY-FM fund-raiser

4:44 p.m., Feb. 11, 2005--On Tuesday, Feb. 15, from 4-8 p.m., UD MBA students and the staff of the graduate and executive programs office in the Alfred Lerner College of Business and Economics will be answering phones for WHYY-91 FM, the National Public Radio station in Philadelphia, now in the midst of its winter pledge drive.

Students and staff will be answering phone calls from donors and processing their pledges.

“This is a unique opportunity to get a ‘behind the scenes’ look at how a not-for-profit business raises funds to maintain a viable operation,” Ann Wolfer, coordinator of the MBA Bosnia Program, said. “The benefits of this initiative are two-fold, the Lerner College of Business and Economics gets exposure through on-air publicity, and we get to support a great cause,” she said. “Please make a pledge, and tell students, friends and neighbors to tune in.”
