Delaware tennis teams fall to Lehigh 5-2, 6-1

10:34 a.m., Feb. 28, 2005--The University of Delaware tennis teams fell at Lehigh University, the women losing 5-2 and the men 6-1 in matches Saturday afternoon.

UD’s Susan Pollack was the lone winner in singles, defeating Gwen Dwyer 6-3, 6-3 at No. 1. The Fightin’ Blue Hens did pick up the doubles point by winning the No. 2 and No 3 matches, with Jamie deGraffenreid and Alexa Dragonette earning the victory at No. 2 and Brittany Barsky and Katie Miller earning the victory at No. 3.

The UD men dropped all six singles matches but avoided the shutout by winning the doubles point. Doubles winners for the Hens were Jesse Carl and Jason Hanschmann and Philip Wayne and Sammy Carl.
