The soup vote is in

3:28 p.m., March 2, 2005--The soup vote is in from Dining Service’s soup sampling on Jan. 28, and the new favorite is cauliflower, cheddar and caramelized onion, according to Debbi Miller, administrative dietitian, Dining Services.

Six meat-based and six other soups were available for sampling, and the other soups de choice, as selected by 199 soup sippers, were surfside bisque, cheesy poblano rice, chicken with roasted garlic and couscous and Chinese soup with shiitake and bok choy.

“We also wanted to know what soups people liked that we already offered and gave the University community an opportunity to vote on their favorite ‘old soups’ online or at the sampling. We had a good response with a total of 514 votes, 300 of which were online,” Miller said.

To get a rundown on which soups are being served when, visit the Dining Services web site at [www.udel.edu/dining] and click on the new Soups of the Day icon.
