Delaware’s Rambo named CAA Pitcher of Week

9:27 a.m., March 2, 2005--University of Delaware senior co-captain Scott Rambo has been named the Colonial Athletic Association Co-Pitcher of the Week.

Rambo and sophomore Mitch Heckert combined to blank the University of Richmond 7-0 on Sunday. Rambo pitched six scoreless innings, scattering three hits and striking out seven.

Rambo shared the award with senior Ronald Hill of the University of North Carolina Wilmington, who had a strong outing against the University of Tennessee.

UD is scheduled to host St. Joseph’s University at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, at Bob Hannah Stadium. The Hens will remain at home for a doubleheader against the University of Massachusetts beginning at noon, Saturday.
