UD’s new hotel has new web site

2:50 p.m., Jan. 26, 2005--Photos of the new Courtyard Newark-University of Delaware business-class hotel, an online pressroom, links to Marriott, UD’s Department of Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management (HRIM) and employment information are readily available at the hotel’s new web site [www.udel.edu/hotel/].

Designed by Lane McLaughlin, an art director in the Office of Public Relations, the web site’s home page opens with a wide-angle view of the front of the hotel superimposed with pictures of its food, rooms and lounges.

A list on the left allows the viewer instant access to the story of the hotel dedication ceremony (complete with links to video clips of the event), pictures of the hotel’s breakfast, buffet and lounge areas, its rooms and suites and the hotel chef preparing a meal. There also are views of the front and back of the facility and of Clayton Hall conference center, just a brief walk from the hotel, plus virtual tours of Conference Services’ locations and the hotel.

Links allow instant access to the University and its conference services, the HRIM program, employment and reservation information and directions to the Courtyard.
