‘From Broadway to Opera’ at Smyrna Opera House Feb. 20

3:29 p.m., Jan. 18, 2005--The Smyrna Opera House will present From Broadway to Opera...the Perfect Couple at 4 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 20.

A blend of Broadway show tunes and operatic love songs, the production will feature the voices and talents of soprano RoseMarie Peraino and tenor Marshall Cooper, both internationally renowned vocalists.

Peraino has performed operas throughout the United States and Europe. Her roles have included Mimi from La Boheme, Nedda from Pagliacci, Cio-Cio San from Madame Butterfly and Mother from Amahl & the Night Visitors.

Cooper is a past winner of the Luciano Pavarotti International Voice Competition. In Europe, he sang roles in Ubaldo Piangi, The Phantom of the Opera and Jeckyl & Hyde.
