Hens' Alger selected ECAC Player of Week

3:25 p.m., Dec. 20, 2004--It was a very good week for University of Delaware women's soccer player Shannon Alger.
The junior midfielder was named the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division I Player of the Week soon after being selected the Colonial Athletic Association Player of the Week.
Alger scored both goals for the Fightin’ Blue hens in a 2-1 victory over Virginia Commonwealth University and had an assist in a 2-1 victory over the University of North Carolina Wilmington. She has three goals and five assists on the season.
UD will return to action at 7 p.m., Friday, Oct. 22, when the Hens face Towson University at the Delaware Mini-Stadium.
