YoUDee cuts the mustard, samples salsa

YoUDee and Elaine Herlocher premiere UD DIPPhEN Mustard and Deli Salsa at Zingo’s Market.
2:41 p.m., Nov. 7, 2003--Blue Hen fans will soon have a new way to show off their school pride and enjoy a tasty snack at the same time. In the next four to six weeks, Herlocher Foods Inc. will be introducing two new products: University of Delaware DIPPhEN Mustard and Deli Salsa.

Sporting a colorful label featuring everybody’s favorite mascot, YoUDee, Herlocher's University of Delaware DIPPhEN Mustard is a delicious dip with pretzels, deli meats, cheeses, fresh veggies and anything dippable. The mustard also can be slathered on sandwiches or used as the top True Blue secret ingredient in signature recipes. Its versatility makes it a tailgate must.

Prototypes of the UD DIPPhEN Mustard and Deli Salsa premiered Nov. 3 at Zingo’s Market in the Polly Drummond Shopping Center in Newark. On hand for the unveiling and helping hand out free samples were the big blue bird—YoUDee--and Elaine Herlocher, wife of the company’s founder.

Herlocher’s University of Delaware DIPPhEN Mustard and Deli Salsa will be on sale in the deli department of local Zingo’s Markets, as well as at the UD Bookstore on the Newark campus.

Herlocher Foods Inc. is a family-owned business located in State College, Pa. For a company history, nutrition information and recipe ideas, visit [www.HerlocherFoods.com].
