YoUDee takes 3rd, dance team 5th, cheerleaders 6th at Nationals

UD mascot YoUDee, who took third place in the national mascot competition last week, is featured in new graphics on Coke vending machines across the campus.
4:21 p.m., Jan. 21, 2004--University of Delaware mascot YoUDee took third place nationally, the dance team placed fifth in Division I and cheerleaders placed sixth in Division I at the College National Championships held Jan. 15-19 at Walt Disney World in Florida.

YoUDee took third in field of 19 teams in the final round competition. First-place honors went to Sparty, from Michigan State University.

The dance team finished fifth in an 11-team competition led by California State University Fullerton, and the cheerleaders finished sixth in a nine-team competition topped by Morehead State University.
