Delaware womens soccer falls to George Mason
11:20 a.m., Nov. 5, 2003--The University of Delaware womens soccer team fell 2-1 to George Mason University in a Colonial Athletic Association opening round tournament match on Tuesday afternoon at the Delaware Mini-Stadium.

The Fightin Blue Hens took an early 1-0 lead on a goal at 24:48 by senior Trisha Breault, who scored after taking a pass from fellow senior Francesca Termini. It was the second goal of the season for Breault, and the score held up to the half.
George Mason evened the game early in the second half after a penalty kick was awarded and driven past UD redshirt freshman goalkeeper Bonnie Mills by Kristin Portell at 46:28.
George Masons Danielle MacDonald scored the winning goal at 65:45.
UD played without conference assist leader Caryn Blood, a senior tri-captain who was scratched because of a serious leg infection.
The Hens finished the 2003 season with a mark of 10-6-3.
George Mason will travel to Hofstra University in Hempstead, N.Y., for a tournament semifinal match against Virginia Commonwealth University at 5 p.m., Friday, Nov. 7.
The CAA championship game will be played at 1 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 9, at Hofstra.
