11:45 a.m., April 22, 2004--Freshman Jenny Diana scored five goals, including the game winner with 35 seconds left to play, to lift the University of Delaware women's lacrosse team to an 11-10 victory over Temple University on Wednesday afternoon in Philadelphia.

With the win, the Fightin’ Blue Hens improved to 5-10 on the season.

UD has one game remaining on the schedule and will host Penn State at 1 p.m., Saturday, May 8, at Rullo Stadium.

In the victory over Temple, Diana led the Hens with five goals. It was the second straight game in which she scored five goals. Erin Edell and Kristen Cellucci had two goals each, and Shannon Kron had a game-high three assists.

Temple took an early 1-0 advantage but three goals by Edell, Becky Zane gave the Hens a 3-1 lead with 11:59 remaining in the first half.

Temple scored again but the Hens responded with tallies by Diana and Cellucci to take a 5-2 edge into the half.

Temple opened the second half with two quick scores to cut the UD lead to 5-4. After a second goal by Edell, Temple scored twice to even the game at 6-6.

Diana stretched the UD lead to 8-6 with a pair of goals but Temple answered with three scores to take a 9-8 lead with 8:18 to play.

The Hens regained the lead 10-9 lead with 6:46 to plays on goals by Cellucci and senior Michelle Campolettano. Temple tied the game just over two minutes later but with 35 second to play Diana scored the winning goal for the Hens.
