Proper back care topic of April 28 program

3:19 p.m., April 23, 2004--Learning to prevent back problems, a condition that will affect eight out of 10 Americans during their lifetime, is the subject of “Take Care of Your Back,” an Employee Wellness Center program offered from 12:05-12:55 p.m., Wednesday, April 28, in 130 General Services Building.

The program will demonstrate proper lifting techniques and exercises to help strengthen backs and prevent problems. Participants will receive tips on how to keep backs healthy at work and home, including the proper way to set up a computer workstation.

The cost is 10 Wellness dollars. A pair of Wilmington Blue Rocks tickets will be given away.

The event is co-sponsored by the Department of Occupational Health and Safety.
