CAA volleyball tournament to be played at Delaware 2:52 p.m., Nov. 18, 2003--The University of Delaware will host the Colonial Athletic Association volleyball championship tournament, with matches scheduled Friday and Saturday, Nov. 21-22, at Viera Court in the Carpenter Sports Building. In Friday’s games, second seeded George Mason University will battle third seeded James Madison at 4:30 p.m. and top seeded Towson University will take on fourth seeded Hofstra University at 7 p.m. The championship will be played at 7 p.m., Saturday. UD closed its volleyball season with a 3-1 loss to George Mason on Saturday night at Viera Court. The Fightin’ Blue Hens finished 11-16 overall and 5-9 in the CAA. In Saturday’s game, UD junior Valerie Murphy led the team with 15 kills and five blocks. Junior Sarah Engle and sophomore Niecy Taylor had eight kills each.
