UPS package delivery to residence halls

5:24 p.m., May 3, 2004--Students will now be able to receive UPS packages in their residence halls during the academic year.

The University has entered into a partnership with UPS to speed the delivery of packages to students living on campus. There will be a trial period from May 3-May 28 on central, east, west and south campuses.

Packages that do not need a signature will be delivered by campus mail directly to residence halls, where they will be distributed via the residence hall system.

UPS will continue to make three attempts to deliver signature- required packages, but, if unsuccessful, the packages will be returned to the Perkins Student Center or Trabant University Center copy centers, where e-mail notification will be sent to students.

For students in Dickinson A - F, Rodney A - F, Brown, Sussex, Harter and Sharp, signature-required packages will be delivered to the Trabant University Center copy center, Room 157 A.

Students in Gilbert A - F, Harrington A - E, and Russell A - E, Lane, Sypherd, Thompson, Squire, Sussex, Cannon, New Castle, Kent, Smyth and Warner can pick up their packages at the Perkins Student Center copy center, room 109.

Students must have proper identification to retrieve their packages.
