Tuition Exchange Program applications due by Oct. 27 |
8:35 p.m., Sep.2, 2003--The deadline for Tuition Exchange Program (TEP) applications for the 2004-05 academic year is Monday, Oct. 27. A lottery of eligible employees who have applied for the available TE slots will be held at 12:15 p.m., Friday, Oct. 31, in Room 151, Office of Human Resources, 413 Academy St. It is not necessary to attend, but interested employees may do so.
Tuition Exchange is a program of exchange scholarships offered to University employees for their dependent children. It is a national consortium of more than 530 colleges and universities.
To participate in the lottery, employees must work full-time and have a minimum of two years of eligible University service as of Oct. 31 of the year in which they submit TEP applications. Eligible children are natural or legally adopted children who are financially dependent on their parents in accordance with IRS regulations. Dependent children may apply to one or more participating institutions.
Participating institutions grant the TEP scholarship, not Tuition Exchange Inc. This means that submitting an application and subsequent acceptance to a school does not guarantee that a TEP scholarship will be awarded.
This program may be used in conjunction with the University of Delawares tuition remission program and counts toward the maximum requests for that program.
For more TEP information, call Human Resources at 831-2171 or visit [www.udel.edu/Benefits/TX.HTML], where applications also are available.
