UD’s Casey Bennett sets new pole vault record

10 a.m., May 10, 2004--University of Delaware junior Casey Bennett set the school record in the women's pole vault for the third time this season with a leap of 12 feet, 6 inches to capture first place at the Towson University Track and Field Invitational held Sunday at Johnny Unitas Stadium.

Also for UD, Mark Moore won the 10,000 meters (37:42.0) and Mike Yost won the hammer throw (158 feet, 10 inches).

Finishing second for the Fightin’ Blue Hens were Brad Wilcox in the men's 3,000-meter steeplechase (10:12.07), Matt Bryden in the men's 5,000 meters (16:24.0) and Allison Behrle in the women's 10,000 meters (43:26.8).
