Delaware women’s tennis team ends trip with victory

10:20 a.m., March 29, 2004--The University of Delaware women's tennis team closed its annual Florida trip with a 9-0 victory over host St. Leo University.

The Fightin’ Blue Hens swept all six singles matches in straight sets and won each of the three doubles matches by 8-1 scores.

Picking up singles wins for the Hens were Sari Shuster at No. 1, Liz Perlow at No. 2, Marissa Singer at No. 3, Jamie deGraffenreid at No. 4, Beth Principe at No. 5 and Stefanie Riddle at No. 6.

Winning at doubles for the Hens were the No. 1 team of Shuster and deGraffenreid, the No. 2 team of Perlow and Principe,and the No. 3 team of Riddle and Katie Miller.

UD will return to action with men’s and women’s matches at 5 p.m., Friday, April 2, at James Madison University.

The Hens will remain in Harrisonburg, Va., for matches on Saturday, April 3. The women will take on the University of North Carolina Wilmington and the men Radford University.
