Blue Hen softball team opens CAA tourney play today
The game will follow a noontime game between Towson and James Madison. The tournament is a double-elimination event. UD is led by CAA Player of the Year Laura Streets, who is hitting .399, and first team All-CAA pitcher Carolynn Sloat, a freshman who leads the conference in wins and strikeouts. The Hens are 27-22-1 and hold the fourth seed in the four-team tournament. Hofstra, the defending CAA champion, is the top seed with a record of 30-18.
