UD softball pitcher Sloat earns CAA recognition

UD freshman Carolynn Sloat has been named CAA Co-Pitcher of the Week.
10 a.m., March 19, 2004--University of Delaware freshman softball standout Carolynn Sloat has been named the Colonial Athletic Association Co-Pitcher of the Week.

Sloat went 2-0 with a 1.00 earned run average in her two starts last week.

It was the third conference honor in four weeks for Sloat, who had previously been named Pitcher of the Week and Rookie of the Week.

Overall, Sloat is 7-4 with a 1.18 earned run average and is within reach of the UD record for victories by a freshman, which is 11.
