Graduate student exhibits new paintings in solo show

Little one, acrylic on canvas, 11 x 11 inches, 2003
7:44 a.m., Nov. 12, 2003--Jessica Singerman, a graduate student in UD’s Department of Art, will display her recent paintings in a solo exhibit that runs from Friday, Nov. 21, through Thursday, Jan. 15, at the Little Falls Site Gallery at Agilent Technologies in Wilmington.

The exhibit will open with a public reception from 5-8 p.m., during which guests will get the opportunity to speak with Singerman about her work.

In her most recent paintings, Singerman combines painterly abstraction with delicate drawings and calligraphic writing. Her large-scale abstracts are inspired by nature, science and personal experience, she said.

Both the exhibit and the reception are free and open to the public. For more information, visit [www.geocities.com/jnsingerman].
