Robert H. Simpson
 

April 28, 2004--Robert H. "Bob" Simpson, 76, died March 22, at Christiana Hospital.

He formerly worked in athletics at UD.

A Wilmington native, he was graduated from P.S. du Pont High School and worked at Delaware Trust for 28 years, retiring as the personal assistant and chauffeur to the CEO, John "Jack" F. Porter III, who was also a close friend.

After retiring from Delaware Trust, he worked at Isaacs' Service Station side by side with his friend, Harry Isaacs.

Mr. Simpson served in the U.S. military overseas, was a member of the Mason Washington Lodge #1 and sang with the Scottish Rite Choir. He also volunteered with the Meals on Wheels program.

He was an active member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, where he served as an usher.
