Vote online for the senior class gift through March 5

9:34 a.m., Feb. 24, 2004--All seniors graduating in May and January 2005 are invited to help the senior class choose this year’s gift to the University.

The gift is each senior class’s way of saying thank you for helping prepare them for a bright future and to leave behind a lasting legacy.

The choices are:

1. Establish a scholarship fund;
2. Replace the trees in front of Old College that were destroyed during hurricane Isabel;
3. Create a walkway in front of Morris Library to help reduce damage to The Green as a result of heavy foot traffic; or
4. Create a walkway from the new Marriott Hotel to the Clayton Hall/Pencader Conference Center, one of the latest additions to campus during the Class of 2004’s tenure.

Voting continues through March 5 at [www.udel.edu/seniorclass].

The Senior Class Gift Committee gathered suggestions from a survey conducted in December, and the final suggestions were approved by UD President David Roselle.

To surpass the amount raised by the Class of 2003, the senior class committee has set a goal of $15,000 this year’s class gift. The committee will be collecting pledges and donations for the next three months to reach their goal.

For more information, to make a pledge or to volunteer to work with the committee, e-mail [amybouza@udel.edu] or [ovrskate@udel.edu].
