Choral ensemble auditions set Sept. 3, 6, 8


9:45 a.m., Sep. 2, 2003--Schola Cantorum, a large choral ensemble made up of UD students, faculty, staff and community members, will hold auditions for the 2003-04 academic year at

  • 7-10 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 3;
  • 4-6 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 6; and
  • 8:30 - 10 p.m., Monday, Sept. 8.

Auditions, which also may be scheduled by appointment, will be held in the Amy E. du Pont Music Building. Rehearsals are held from 7:15-9:30 p.m., Monday nights. The first rehearsal will be held Monday, Sept. 8, in 118 Amy E. du Pont Music Building.

Performances planned for this academic year include Mozart's “Coronation Mass” in the fall with the UD Orchestra and Carl Orff's “Carmina Burana” in the spring with the Delaware Symphony Orchestra. There is a registration fee for community members, and all members of the choir pay for their own musical scores.
