Salzburg Seminar meeting scheduled for Oct. 23

1:40 p.m., Oct. 20, 2003--From 12:15-1:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 23, the Center for International Studies will host an informal meeting on the Salzburg Seminar for University faculty. The meeting, which will be held in the Kirkwood Room of the Perkins Student Center, is designed to provide faculty with information on the Salzburg Seminar 2004 academic programs in Austria in advance of the formal application process.

Each year, the Salzburg Seminar in Austria draws hundreds of scholars, business leaders, diplomats, politicians and judges for weeklong sessions that explore timely international and academic issues ranging from human rights to biotechnology. Each intensive, seven-day session is led by distinguished faculty and brings together 50 to 60 mid-career professionals from around the world.

The Oct. 23 information session in the Perkins Student Center will provide interested faculty with details on the application process and the scholarship options available.

The meeting is open to all University of Delaware faculty and will include a complimentary buffet lunch. To confirm attendance, reservations should be made by e-mailing [acdoug@udel.edu] by Tuesday, Oct. 21. For more information on the meeting, call Lesa Griffiths at 831-2852. For more information on the Salzburg Seminar, visit [www.udel.edu/studyabroad].
