Joyce Hill Stoner, professor of art conservation, was elected vice president for external affairs for the College Art Association, a national association for art historians and teaching artists.

Leila Lyons, director, Instructional Technologies-User Services, served as program chair for “Art of Leadership: Drawing IT Together,” the ACM SIGUCCS Computer Services Management Symposium, March 21-23, Santa Fe, N.M.

Barbara Sheer, associate professor of nursing, and Judy Hendricks, assistant professor of nursing, were among the 25 nursing leaders representing national and state organizations at the invitational Think Tank, sponsored by the Fellows of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, April 19, Washington, D.C. Hendricks also is president-elect of the American College of Nurse Practitioners.

Honors

Jeanne Murray Walker, professor of English, was named Poet of the Month for May by Poetry Net, a web site for poetry that will feature several of Walker’s recent poems and comments about her work.
