Two-piano recital set Feb. 18

4:53 p.m., Feb. 17, 2004--UD’s Department of Music presents a two-piano recital featuring Marie-Christine Delbeau and Julie Nishimura at 8 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 18, in Loudis Recital Hall of the Amy E. du Pont Music Building.

The program features “Sonata for Two Pianos” by W.A. Mozart, “Scaramouche” by Milhaud, Lutoslawski’s “Variations on a Theme of Paganini” and “Dance Suite” by Robert Kurka.

Marie-Christine Delbeau, associate professor of music at UD, has performed to critical acclaim in recitals throughout the United States and Europe. Pianist Julie Nishimura, a recipient of the 2000 Delaware State Arts Council Individual Artist Fellowship, is faculty accompanist for the Department of Music.

Admission is $10 for adults, $7 for seniors and $3 for students. Tickets may be purchased at the door or in advance at the Trabant University Center or Bob Carpenter Center box offices.
