750 staff trained to use PeopleSoft Financial 8:52 a.m., Oct. 29, 2003--The PeopleSoft Financial information management system has been "live" since July 1, and 750 campus users have been trained on the system. Beginning last spring, the University of Delaware Financial System (UDFS) communications team developed a training program for users of financial information and has been offering courses and maintaining a web site [www.udel.edu/UDFS/info]. All courses are now posted on that web site under the training tab. The Communications Team's goal is to reach every financial information user through a tier structure in which each team member represents a set of University units and is responsible for training financial users in those units. In most cases, the communications team member enlisted the aid of colleagues within their unitcalled tier one usersto help train others. For users of financial information who have not yet been trained, an open forum has been scheduled from 9-10:30 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 30, in the Trabant University Center Theatre. The focus will be on helping those who have not received training yet. The forum will point users to the resources they need to use the PeopleSoft Financial system, in particular, the resources on the [www.udel.edu/UDFS/info] web site.
