PeopleSoft Financials Readiness II training April 23, 27

10:48 a.m., April 16, 2004--Phase II of UD’s conversion to the PeopleSoft Financial System goes live July 1, and the PeopleSoft Financials training team will provide an overview of the changes and enhancements at two training sessions from 9:30-11 a.m., Friday, April 23, and from 1:30-3 p.m., Tuesday, April 27, at the Trabant University Center Theatre.

This Readiness II training will cover modules for grants management, accounts receivable (including a new cash transmittal form), nonstudent billing and asset management.

Readiness II objectives include:

  • Familiarize the campus with phase II of PeopleSoft Financials;
  • Give an overview of changes coming with new modules;
  • Detail upcoming training sessions/timeline;
  • Review new PS chartfields from phase I;
  • Give a brief overview of what’s not changing; and
  • Show how to find additional resources and help.

    “I strongly urge those involved in grants, nonstudent billing and users of the cash transmittal form to attend one of these sessions,” Ellen Lepine, team leader for PeopleSoft Financials Training/Communications II, said. “Current PeopleSoft users will learn about enhancements to existing web forms.”

    To reserve a place for one of the Readiness II training sessions, send e-mail to Missy Keane at [mkeane@udel.edu] by 4 p.m., Wednesday, April 21. The e-mail message should include name, department and which session you would like to attend.

    The Readiness II training sessions also will provide information on classes still in development, such as hands-on training classes to give employees detailed information about procedures, forms and reporting in the grants and nonstudent billing areas, as well as the new web cash transmittal form.
