Back-to-Class Faculty Lectures set Sept. 13

7:35 p.m., Sept. 5, 2003--Back-to-Class Faculty Lectures provide an opportunity for UD visitors to sample college education during Freshman Family Weekend. The program, slated for 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 13, in Gore Hall, gives parents and family members a the chance to take part in thought-provoking lecture classes presented by UD professors.

Professors scheduled to present lectures include:

Michael Chajes, civil and environmental engineering;

  • Charles Elson, finance;
  • Kevin Kerrane, English;
  • Mary Beth Miele, medical technology;
  • Robin Morgan, animal and food sciences; and
  • Joyce Hill Stoner, art conservation.

For the lecture topics, bios of the faculty lecturers and the schedule of lectures, visit the Freshman Family Weekend web site at [www.udel.edu/parents] beginning Tuesday, Sept. 9.

While those wishing to participate in the Back-to-Class Faculty Lectures program were asked to indicate this on their Freshman Family Weekend ticket order forms, those who have yet to indicate they plan to attend the Back-to-Class-Faculty Lectures program may still do so by sending e-mail to [ud-parents@udel.edu] with their names and the number of guests who will be participating.
