Opera Workshop presents revue of Rodgers and Hammerstein music Nov. 21, 22

10:36 a.m., Nov. 19, 2003--UD’s Opera Workshop presents “It’s a Grand Night for Singing: The Music of Rodgers and Hammerstein” in performances at 8 p.m., Friday, Nov. 21, and again at 8 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 22, in the Loudis Recital Hall of the Amy E. du Pont Music Building.

Some of the most popular melodies and lyrics of the American musical theatre will be presented, including songs from “Oklahoma,” “Carousel,” “The King and I,” “South Pacific,” “The Sound of Music,” “Pipe Dream,” “No Strings,” “Allegro,” “Flower Drum Song,” “Cinderella” and “State Fair.”

Admission is $10 for adults, $7 for seniors and $3 for students. Tickets may be purchased at the door or in advance at the Trabant or Bob Carpenter box offices on the UD campus.
