'New U' directory to feature Class of 2007

11:15 a.m., Aug. 8, 2003--A great keepsake for parents and a must-have item for all students new to UD this fall is “The New U: The 2003-04 Directory for New Students.”

Behind these shades is a VIP* who knows what’s happening. New Students can, too, with the “New U” directory. (*Very Important Poultry)

The publication features photos of and information about new members of the Class of 2007, as well as incoming transfer students. With a special focus on student involvement, “New U” includes details on student organizations, special web sites to watch, photos of the UD campus and coupons for area merchants.

Sponsored by the Delaware Undergraduate Student Congress and published by UD’s Office of Public Relations, the 8 1/2-x-11-inch softbound book, will be available in September.

Single copies are $19.99, and family packages, which include one copy for the student and one for the parents, are available for $34.99. Parents who purchase the family package have the option of submitting a message of encouragement, pride or congratulations that will be printed in a special section at the back of “The New U.” Parents who do not wish to purchase the family package may include a message, which includes their student’s copy, for $24.99.

Payment can be made by check, money order or credit card, and students will be notified by e-mail when copies may be picked up. Orders must be postmarked by Friday, Aug 22.

For more information, or to obtain order forms, call (302) 831-2792 or send e-mail to [publicrelations@udel.edu].
