UD men’s soccer team loses finale to Georgetown

11:15 a.m., Nov. 5, 2003--The University of Delaware men’s soccer team concluded its season with a 2-0 loss to Georgetown University on Tuesday evening at the Delaware Mini-Stadium.

Both Georgetown goals came in the second half, with Dan Gargan scoring for the Hoyas at 58:20 and Ricky Schramm at 79:42.

In the third start of his career, UD senior goalkeeper Morgan Funsten made a career-high 12 saves. The 12 saves also is a season-high for a Delaware goalkeeper.

The Fightin’ Blue Hens ended the season with a mark of 4-11-5.
