Blue Hen men’s soccer will host Rider Sept. 10

1:40 p.m., Sept. 8, 2003--The University of Delaware men’s soccer team will play host to Rider University for a game at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 10, at Delaware Mini-Stadium.

The Fightin’ Blue Hens (1-1-1) battled to a 0-0 tie against Monmouth University in a home match Friday night.

The best scoring opportunity of the evening occurred three minutes into the second overtime when UD goalkeeper Kyle Haynes made a sliding save on a difficult shot by Monmouth's John Carrozza.

Both Haynes and Monmouth goalkeeper Art Satterwhite recorded shutouts, with Haynes stopping seven shots and Satterwhite five.
