James John Milmoe
 

May 17, 2004--James John Milmoe, 76, UD alumnus and former member of the faculty, died May 9 at his home in Columbia, Md. He had cardiovascular disease.

Mr. Milmoe taught food marketing at the University of Delaware from 1963-72. He also was under contract to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, which sponsored a book he wrote about roadside marketing, and he became known as an expert on roadside food stands.

A graduate of the New York Institute of Finance and Georgetown University Law School, he received his MBA from UD in 1970.

From 1972-94, he was a training officer in the USDA.

He is survived by his three sons, James J. Milmoe Jr. of Elkton, Md., Brian J. Milmoe of Clifton, Va., and Michael P. Milmoe of Falls Church, Va.; a sister, Katherine S. Milmoe, of Fairfax, Va.; and five grandchildren.
