Hen men’s lacrosse team slips to No. 17 in poll

10 a.m., April 13, 2004--Despite a weekend loss, the University of Delaware men’s lacrosse team remains in the national rankings.

The Fightin’ Blue Hens are ranked No. 17 in the most recent U.S. Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association poll released Monday afternoon.

The Hens fell from last week’s No. 11 ranking after a 12-4 loss to Colonial Athletic Association rival Villanova University, which has entered the rankings at No. 20.

UD must face No. 12 Towson University in a key conference game at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 14, at Johnny Unitas Stadium in Towson.

Johns Hopkins University is ranked No. 1 in the poll, followed by Navy, Maryland, Syracuse and North Carolina.
