Thomas J. McCall Jr.
 

June 3, 2004--Thomas J. McCall Jr., 68, of Newark, died Thursday, May 20, at his home.

Born in Wilmington, Mr. McCall served as a military policeman (MP) in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1953-54, when he was honorably discharged.

A DuPont retiree, he had a second career in General Services at the University of Delaware.

A parishioner of St. Anthony of Padua R.C. Church, he was a member of St. Pius X Council #4425 in Wilmington and was active in sales of Knights of Columbus Insurance.

Mr. McCall will be remembered as a devoted family man, who especially delighted in spending time with his grandsons.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Rebecca G. Steele McCall; three children, Thomas J. McCall III and his wife, Marci, of New Castle, Amy E. Mayer and her husband, Lyle, of Sicklerville, N.J., and Molly L. Sewell and her husband, Michael, of Smyrna; brother, Louis K. McCall and his wife, Theresa, of North East, Md.; and two grandsons, Maxwell T. Sewell and Trent M. Sewell.
