Gay rights march on Main Street Sunday 12:03 p.m., April 30, 2004--The Civil Liberties Union of the University of Delaware is sponsoring a march in support of civil rights for the gay community at 1:30 p.m., on Sunday, May 2. The march will begin at UD’s Hollingsworth Parking Lot, located on North College Avenue, and will proceed south on North College Avenue to Main Street. The march will continue east on Main Street to the parking lot at Market East Plaza, at the intersection of Main Street and Tyre Avenue. For safety reasons, Main Street will be closed to vehicular traffic at 1:15 p.m., from Library Avenue to South College Avenue, and will gradually reopen during the course of the march.
