Lecture by gay politician addresses diversity in Congress

1:59 p.m., March 18, 2004--U.S. Rep. Barney Frank of Massachusetts will visit the University of Delaware campus on Monday, March 29, to speak about being gay in Congress.

Scheduled from 6-8:30 p.m., in Room 207 of the Amy E. du Pont Music Building, Frank’s lecture, “Being Gay in Congress,” will focus on the hurdles he has encountered as a gay politician and the strategies he has developed to overcome them.

The lecture, which is part of the LGBTQ (Lesbian/Gay/Bisexual/ Transgender/Questioning) 2004 Lecture Series, is free and open to the public.

For more information, call Larry W. Peterson, professor of music, at 831-8134.
