MBNA Blue Hen Classic auction web site now online

5:05 p.m., Sept. 12, 2003--Many exciting items are now just a click of your mouse away, through an online auction that is part of the MBNA Blue Hen Classic.

Choose from:

A trip to Jamaica.

An 18-inch cultured pearl necklace.

A Marriott vacation for two in the U.S., including airfare and lodging.

Rounds of golf at selected courses in the region.

First-class, domestic airfare tickets for two.

Tickets to athletic and performing arts events.

Floral arrangements for a year.

Autographed sports memorabilia.

Dinners at some of the area’s premier restaurants.

These are just some of the items to be auctioned at the 12th annual MBNA Blue Hen Classic, scheduled Monday, Sept. 22, at the DuPont Country Club in Wilmington.

This popular tournament benefits UD athletics scholarships, and a few playing spots in both golf and tennis are still available.

Individuals can now bid online for auction items at a special auction web site [www.udel.edu/BlueHenClassic/]. However, to insure that they have the winning bid, individuals must attend the Gala Auction Party, sponsored by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Delaware, including both live and silent auctions.
