Weapons of Mass Destruction topic of March 3 talk
Ambassador Robert Gallucci, who served several U.S. administrations in weapons control posts for almost three decades appears in the Enemies List: Not Always What They Seem series to discuss his efforts to prevent the spread of weapons of mass destruction. Gallucci helped deal with weapons issues and disarmament most recently during the Clinton administration. For more information about Gallucci's government service, visit [www.udel.edu/global]. The Enemies List series of Global Agenda lectures, highlighting topics ranging from terrorism to nuclear disarmament, continues at 7:30 p.m., Wednesdays, through May 12, in Mitchell Hall, unless otherwise noted. The series is free and open to the public. The next lecture in the series will be Old Europe: Trusted Allies or Unfaithful Friends? on March 10. Jean-David Levitte, Frances ambassador to the United States, will discuss the shifting dynamics of Americas alliance with Europe. Levitte served as senior adviser to French President Jacques Chirac from 1995-2000, when he was appointed to represent France at the United Nations. Since 2002, Levitte has been Frances ambassador to the United States. This lecture only will be held in Clayton Hall. Organized by Ralph Begleiter, UDs Rosenberg Professor of Communication and distinguished journalist in residence, the series is designed to survey potential threats to the United States and explore the complex framework of global relations.
