Employee flu shots available Nov. 5, 7

11:20 a.m., Oct. 2, 2003--From 8:10 a.m.–noon and from 1–4 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 5, and Friday, Nov. 7, influenza shots will be available for all UD employees and retirees who receive benefits.
Flu shots will be given in Laurel Hall, the student health center. The cost is $15 and can be paid in cash, by check made payable to UD or by charge. Wellness dollars cannot be used for the vaccination.

Employees should allow 20-30 minutes for their shots because they will be asked to wait for a period after their shots to be sure there aren’t any adverse side-effects. Individuals who are allergic to eggs, thimerosal, latex or formaldehyde are advised not to get a flu shot.

For more information, or to schedule an appointment, go to the Wellness Center’s web site at [www.udel.edu/wellness] and follow the links for “Flu Shots.”
