1:25 p.m., Sep. 3, 2003--The Colonial Athletic Association has honored two University of Delaware field hockey players. Erica LaBar was named the CAA Player of the Week and Megan Allen was named the Rookie of the Week.

LaBar, a junior from New Castle, scored eight points in two games over the weekend to take the individual scoring lead in the conference. She had three goals and two assists as Delaware defeated Rutgers 5-0 on Sunday afternoon.

Allen, a freshman from Virginia Beach, Va., posted an average 1.85 goals as the Blue Hens split two games over the weekend. Allen earned a shared shutout in the win over Rutgers, playing the first 40 minutes of the contest.
