Blue Hen season tickets now available

3:36 p.m., April 14, 2004--Last year more than 188,000 football fans flocked to Delaware Stadium to watch the action on Tubby Raymond Field as the Fightin’ Blue Hens rolled over their opponents en route to a 15-1 record and the Division I-AA national championship.

Besides earning the Lambert Cup Trophy and the ECAC Team of the Year Award, the Hens under Head Coach K.C. Keeler, averaged attendance of 21,163 per game during seven regular-season home games.

Delaware, which outscored its opponents 555-247 during the 2003 season, will once again feature explosive talent with plenty of big-play potential, led by an outstanding corps of receivers and rock-solid frontline. The defense, one of the nation’s best in 2003, features three returning starters at linebacker and three All-Atlantic 10 selections.

In defending its national title this fall, Delaware will face six tough opponents on its home turf, including New Hampshire, Towson, West Chester, Maine, William & Mary and Villanova.

While single-game tickets will be available beginning Aug. 2, the best way for True Blue Fightin’ Blue Hen fans to catch all the action this fall is to purchase season tickets now.

To make Blue Hen football as fan friendly as possible, when purchasing season tickets, individuals have the option of reserving portable chair backs by prepaying for the entire season. Cards will be issued that are redeemable at chair stands inside Delaware Stadium.

Season tickets range from $72 (North End Zone) to $150 for the Family Four Pack, which includes seating in sections G and H for two adults and two children (ages 17 and under). For information on ticket availability, parking, group discounts and Blue Hen tailgate tents, call 831-2257.
