3:45 p.m., Sept. 8, 2003--The University of Delaware football team is ranked No. 11 in the new Sports Network NCAA Division I-AA poll released Monday.

UD jumped three spots after its 41-7 victory over The Citadel on Saturday night.

Western Illinois is the top ranked team in Division I-AA, followed by Georgia Southern, McNeese State, Western Kentucky, Northeastern and Villanova. Both Northeastern and Villanova are, like Delaware, members of the Atlantic 10 Football Conference.

Rounding out the top 10 are Bethune-Cookman, Furman, Fordham and Massachusetts, also of the Atlantic 10.
