Faculty meetings set April 12

3:42 p.m., April 5, 2004--The semiannual General Faculty meeting will be held at 3:30 p.m. Monday, April 12, in 104 Gore Hall. The regular monthly meeting of the University Faculty Senate will follow at 4 p.m.

Remarks by President David P. Roselle at the General Faculty Meeting will be preceded by memorial tributes to Prof. Carl Von Frankenberg, associate professor emeritus of chemistry and biochemistry, and Jerzy L. Nowinski, H. Fletcher Brown Professor Emeritus of Mechanical Engineering.

Among the items on the Senate agenda are a report on undergraduate multicultural courses at the University, a proposed revision to the faculty handbook on the role and function of the Academic Appeals Committee and proposed changes to University guidelines for faculty promotion and tenure.
